This week I had both a creative practice and research report tutorial, as well as a meeting with the NUA careers advisor.
I have began creating a weekly timetable for myself, which has enabled me to prioritise my tasks into daily targets, assisting me with time management. I am hoping this will help me to balance my personal development, post-graduate applications, creative practice and research report effectively.
I have been enjoying writing up my personal statement and it is near completion. Following my meeting with the careers advisor, I do feel a little that I may need to re-consider applying next year. I begin my placement on Monday, so I will get the hands-on experience I need.
Creative Practice
This week I have realised that I am not creating enough. Following my tutorial this week, it is clear that although I know the underlying thesis of my work and what I want it to say, I have such a large subject area and I need to decide on a particular style and create a series of works instead of a one-off piece, in order to determine which work and which don't.
Below are my tutorial notes, and it will be up to me to reflect on this, research and see where it takes me next.

Following my research report tutorial, I am feeling more confident in my report plan. It has been suggested that I give myself some entire days to get it written over the next few weeks, which I think is a great idea. I have my presentation next week and I think this will consume a lot of my time so I am going to focus on this and my creative practice next week. The following week I have my group critique which I believe will inform my report greatly, therefore Thursday 12th, Friday 13th and the following independent study week are some provisional opportunities to get lots of content written down, as my draft must be sent to my tutor on the 30th November.
